Chapter Two: Week One

It was once again a light and sunny day,.....until it wasn't,... and then was once again. Oh the crazy weather that had graced/plagued the beautiful town of Buena Vista (which Ah rahtly reckon' is pronounced Bee-u-na Vista,if ya'  realla' wanna ge' it raiht) for that week,as is today as I post this. I had it okay for a start, waking up and off to the mess hall and quickly re-examining my schedule with 5 long classes. So with my nice briefcase (which earlier this year on my to DC actually got confused for being suspicious by the Secret Service [I was up against the White House back gate at the time]) and suspenders in I walked to English. My first impression of all the classes began with an essay on the theme of  "Should Life be kept simple" based on a prompt of Thoreau. Yup that's right, first thing and I gotta write 500 words, with nothing more. But like any other essay  don't give a hoot a about,I boarhonkied my way through. And then after that was Political class,in which we discussed all sorts of things related to,..... ya' guessed it,politics, though mostly Greek themed for now. And then came Philosophy, which was about Socrates defending himself against charges. After that began the first Arts class, which oh yeah Asm started with National Treasure. After that I had found out that I was accepted into Anatomy, right as I was about to take siesta,oh the horror

And the next day followed, and though it was not the break I had hoped,I knew it was soon.It was that day Volleyball started,...and let out ten minutes in.Then Anatomy had it's long but curiously amusing lab.

But then finally I had done what most Don Bluth watchers do after that week, though I cheated and got it a bit early, but alas my happy  near ending was earned.

This weekend cometh the Labour Day parade, dear readers and I hope to give report soon, but for now as my creative juices have seeped out I must end this informative, but ever so dull chapter.

Chapter One: The Orientation

The Prologue

Hello there good readers, and I must apologize for yet another blog to read, but I believe the era of the Monkey World to be over, and while this series of adventures that are academic, ridiculous, heartwarming and who knows what else do indeed fit. That blog was an era of too much business to post regularly, readership that only fell, and absolutely no sense of narrative (HUMPH!). And while many of the old things written in the profile are still true, they do not fit well. The crazy hermit-guy of old,is now the unpredictable recluse with quite the skillz! But enough of that, you say? Your right the arc must begin!

Chapter One: The Orientation

It was a  light and sunny day,the suitcases were packed and all went according to plan. The dinner was fantastic (the irony coming later),the good-bye was heartfelt,...enough and then came the ugly part.It started the minute, the very minute with absolutely no remorse when the Volkswagen rolled into Oakland Airport where yours truly was to take off. Only Dad,being the musician he is,insisted on arriving far too early and terrible results. And then things went beyond the impossible when we had the misfortune to sit near a crying baby that would not (could not?) cannit for 5 hours straight. Then off and away in a rental car from D.C. to campus where I was to unpack into what appeared to be a big shelf. For the rest of that week,it was all but adjusting and acclimatizing to everything, including my roomie. His name is Philip Smith but he's not the generic every-Mormon from Utah. Nope he's a buff black guy who highlights as a soldier of the army but we cool. I had no choice but to use my camera to take pictures (maybe when I get the thing to work on the computer I can get on some pictures). The rest of the highlights include getting acquainted with everyone and a dance.

Oh I can't do this anymore,I can't remember every detail at this point and it's killing the narrative. The next chapter of this tale awaits.
